2 Zone Layout
Drip Zones: Prior to Jumping ahead, let’s revisit our 4 Zone example to explore what is required for the Drip Zone. Drip zones require a reduction in pressure and a filter at some point after the Solenoid, or Hose End Timer. In our example, we will place the Filter and Regulator close to the Garden as our take off point. See illustration below for a sample of parts needed for both Standard Irrigation Tubing and Blu-Lock Tubing from Hydrorain.

A – ¾” or 1” Poly Tubing
B – Insert x Female Pip Thread fitting
C – ¾” Male Pipe Thread Filter
D – ¾” Pipe Thread Pressure Regulator
E – ¾” Pipe Thread Female Adapter
F – ¾” Pipe Thread Adapter and 17mm Drip Emitter Tubing
Blu-Lock Tubing and Fittings
A – ¾” or 1” Blu Lock Tubing
B – Insert x Female Pip Thread fitting
C – ¾” Male Pipe Thread Filter
D – ¾” Pipe Thread Pressure Regulator
E – ¾” Pipe Thread Female Adapter

In the example above we would be placing these components as close to the garden area as possible and if burying underground would put a valve box such as the 111TBC over the components for maintenance. |
