Shelterbelt Plan - 5 Long Rows of Trees - 2 Zones

The customer was looking for an irrigation system for their 5 rows of trees. There are just under 1900 trees total. The horizontal run of trees is 540m and the length of the tree line is 330m. The tree lines were split by a pathway so we divided the system into 2 zones at that point.

To avoid running large and expensive tubing down each row of trees, we decided to run a 1" supply line to the middle of both sections. The southern section had two subheaders of 1" that we used to supply the 1/2" that would run down the rows. By running the 1" tubing and creating the subheaders we mitigated the pressure loss that occurs due to the 1/2" tubing. 1/2" tubing was used because there aren't many trees per row; the main concern was the length of the rows.
